About the project

With this product you can sew hip bags for the whole family! The Zola pattern is available in 4 sizes, and the tutorial will show you step by step how to sew this bag. You can use it as a ready solution or as a base to further modifications.

The fanny pack has one compartment with a zipper closure. An adjustable belt allows for fitting it to various sizes. The inside is finished with a lining, without the use of a bias tape! :)

The waist bag is perfect for summer trips or any outdoor activities. It's a perfect bag for people who like freedom of movement and practical solutions.

Materials needed:

  • outer fabric:
    • S: 90 x 15 cm (35" x 6")
    • XL: 120 x 20 cm (47" x 8")
  • lining fabric:
    • S: 90 x 15 cm (35" x 6")
    • XL: 120 x 20 cm (47" x 8")
  • zipper #5, 18 - 30 cm (7" - 12") depending on a size
  • side release buckle and adjuster slide - 20-30 mm (3/4" - 1 1/4") depending on a size
  • webbing  20-30 mm (3/4" - 1 1/4") wide, length as needed (about 1-1.2 m / 1 - 1.5 yd )
  • 2 rivets (optional)
  • interfacing - described in the tutorial
